Papers and posters describing any research relevant to the New Zealand mudsnail will be welcome at the conference. Oral contributions will be limited to 15 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions. Posters will be limited to 48" x 48" (122 cm x 122 cm). Submission of abstracts will be accepted by email only, as both attached and appended documents. These are due by May 10, 2007. Specific instructions are below.

Instructions for Abstract Submission

  1. The body of your abstract must contain less than 250 words. Do not include figures or literature citations.

  2. Compose your abstract using any common word-processing program (windows compatible is preferred.) The font should be Times New Roman 12pt. Use a 1 inch margin (2.5 cm) on the left and a 3 inch margin (7. 5 cm) on the right. The title should be in bold, the scientific names italicized. The title, authors and affiliations should be centered, and the body of the abstract fully-justified. Do not indent anywhere. Give an e-mail address for all authors. The file name should be the last-name of the submitting author.

  3. Compose an e-mail to tarrington@ecoanalysts.com and in the body of the e-mail, tell us what audio-visual resources you will require. We will provide a computer and Microsoft Power Point software for all oral platforms. We cannot guarantee that any embedded animated graphics or movies will play correctly if not formatted to Microsoft Power Point. Please plan accordingly. We would like everything you have worked on to present properly and if there are any concerns, please contact us.

  4. Attach the word-processor version of your abstract to the email.

  5. Now copy the word-processed version of your submission and paste it directly to the end of your email. Don’t worry about margins, fonts, or any other formatting problems that may appear. This is simply a back-up, in case there are problems reading your attachment.

  6. Send the e-mailed abstract prior to May 10, 2007
