New Zealand Mudsnails in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks

This mapping project was initiated and supported by the National Park Service, Yellowstone National Park through a contract to B. L. Kerans (Montana State University-Bozeman),  M. F. Dybdahl (Washington State University) and R. Hall (University of Wyoming).  The mapping system was prepared by D. L. Gustafson (Montana State University). The goal of the project was to document the distribution and abundance of Potamopyrgus antipodarum, the New Zealand mudsnail in the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. The web document contains current information on New Zealand mudsnail, including location (e.g., latitude, longitude and other information), date of collection, estimates of mud snail abundance and contact addresses if additional information is needed. Information is continually being updated.
