This is a minimally acceptable project report. All of the assigned questions were addressed and adequately answered. The graphics and tables were fine. The observation about polio was excellent. The student's brain was clearly working.
There could have been more discussion of the summary graphics of new R individuals.
The student should have commented on the sensitivity of the percent spread to the actual individual that is initially infected. In fact, no mention is made of how this initial selection was made.
There was no discussion concerning the structure of the model. Is it reasonable to think that individuals would remain fixed in position? Was the regular and absolutely homogeneous background reasonable?
A good start was made on thinking about disease and reserve design issues, but more could have been done. The conclusion about isolation of reserves was OK, given the qualifications mentioned.
